Playing with Bloomin

I admit I hated this set the first time I saw it. I purchased it as I thought it was a good 'mother in law' set. Once I got it though - I have fallen in love. Just goes to prove that sometimes the best sets aren't the ones that grab us first.

Recipe :

Card stock: Close to Cocoa, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White

Ink : Black Stazon, close to cocoa, purely pomegranate(with a blender pen to colour the flower)

I sponged the edge of the card which you can't really see here.

Rub on Fun and a Man Card!

Up first - I am in love with this Beyond Grey paper! I gave myself the challenge of using only neutral card stock in these two cards - so you have black, Basic Grey and Whisper White. Grey taffeta ribbon is my other new favourite. White 'just because' and black flowers are rub on from the Sale-A-Bration mini, as is the stamp set.

More of the same here - but the stamp set is Embrace Life, and the Canvas BG stamp

Sooo excited!

Stampin Up has announced that there will be 7% off the prices printed in the new catalogue(not the starter kit though)! Prices printed in the Spring/Summer were already lower than the Fall/Winter but thanks to our strong dollar they have dropped them even more. Yippee!

Having viewed the new catty I can say - LOVE IT! I have also seen the Sell-a-bration sets - love them too!

Merry Christmas Everyone

PS : Hostess benefits will start at $200 (rather than $225) starting January 2!!

Marie's Challenge #8

It only took me a week to make and post one card! Who knew a new baby could take up so much time ;-)

CS - Non SU! Red, Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, Dashing Designer series
Ink - Black Stazon, Real. Markers - Certainly Celery, Real Red
Embellishments: Crystal Effects, Rhinestone Brad, Certainly Celery Ribbon

The scan showed up a bit blurry - I may try to rescan but time is running short at the moment so it will have to wait!

I'm a winner!

In two ways - first I won Marie's prize this last week for participating in her challenge and second I had my baby!

Here she is - cute as a button! Baby G was born Tuesday - and we are all doing really well!

I don't know if I'll get any cards done this week but I do need to finish her birth announcements - so if I get that done I'll post that this week.
