Notebook Challenge
Carrie and Pam over at 3-D Design Challenge put out a great challenge this week(as usual). And this time I actually did it!!! So what if the kids didn't get fed and the laundry piled up! Occasionally the paper and stamps call louder than a toddler(and that is really saying something).
First off I have had this book sitting in my stamping cupboard for almost 2 years - meaning to do the cover. So thank you Carrie and Pam for making me get off my stamping toosh and finally do something with it.
I have created a book to write down the special memories that happen at Christmas. Such as who was at Christmas dinner, who read "Twas the Night Before..." etc. That way in a few years we can look back and remember who was here and how much of a disaster it was ;)
Recipe : This the book of retired things!! Ski Slope Design paper, I Wish Scrap Kit, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon are all retired(booooo hoooooo) Paper colours here are Baja Breeze, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Whisper White. I used the Snow Burst stamp set - because if there is no stamping how can it be finished??? There is also a few scallop punched pieces and big shot scallops on there(yum I love scallops!)
I am still not sure I am 100% happy with it but the toddler and preschooler yells are getting louder!

3D Design Challenge - One Sheet Box
First up is this weeks challenge and secondly is my milk carton that never got posted on time!
I gotta give props to Carrie for the idea with the taffeta ribbon. She will be posting a how-to over on her blog. Extreme close up here for your viewing pleasure.
I love these milk cartons - I plan to give them to J-man's preschool teachers - filled with Purdy's of course.

Whimsical Swap
This was my contribution tot he Whimsical Impressions swap last week. (Whimsical Impressions is my upline in Stampin Up) We have a meeting every other month and chat business and make cards ;-)
This is Tart & Tangy with the Summer Picnic DS. Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White, and the red striped grosgrain ribbon. We had a shoe box swap this time - everyone brings the paper precut and the stamps and then everyone puts the cards together on their own. Lots of fun!

Rub on Fun and a Man Card!
Up first - I am in love with this Beyond Grey paper! I gave myself the challenge of using only neutral card stock in these two cards - so you have black, Basic Grey and Whisper White. Grey taffeta ribbon is my other new favourite. White 'just because' and black flowers are rub on from the Sale-A-Bration mini, as is the stamp set.
More of the same here - but the stamp set is Embrace Life, and the Canvas BG stamp
